Danie Grace (they/them) is a Boston/Providence based animator, poet and painter whose work focuses on the interconnectedness of the melancholy and the heartwarming; the moments that push us away, and the moments that bring us back to the present.

Using symbolism and clear representation, Danie’s digital 2D animation and poetry indulges in the subtleties of mental illness, small moments, and aesthetics.  Animation-wise, they focus on camera moves, subtle character animation and special effects with cute-quirky designs. While Danie’s poetry focuses on past experiences, stream of consciousness, heavy subject matter and vague emotions.

As a 2019 Animation and Creative Writing graduate of Massachusetts College of Art and Design, Danie is currently a freelance animator and up-and-coming writer. Living with their significant other, their kitty cat, Ari, and their supportive roommates in Newton, MA, Danie is trying their best!
